Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How frequent are my sessions?
A. Counselling sessions are weekly or fortnightly by prior arrangement on the same date and at the same time. At the first session you can present your issue, explore your expectations and we can decide whether we can work together. The session length is 50 minutes for individuals and 60 minutes for couples.
Q. What is the cost?
A. The session fee is £45 for individuals and £60 for couples; payable by cash or cheque at the end of each session.
Q. What happens at the first session?
A. When you arrive at the Centre, there is a quiet reception area for you to wait in. I will come out and greet you and then we go to one of the counselling rooms. There is a short questionnaire to fill in, I take a brief history and then after this "dipping your toe in the water", we can start exploring your journey. There is no right place for you to start, no need to worry what you can say, it will just happen.
Q. Where is my practice located?
A. My practice is located at The West Street Counselling & Psychotherapy Centre; situated in the main retail and business area of West Street, Fareham, opposite The Royal Bank of Scotland and The Ask Restaurant. It is 10 minutes walk from Fareham train station and 5 minutes walk from Fareham Bus station. Pay & display parking is available at the many town center car parks, all a couple of minutes walk from the practice. Free disabled on street parking is available in the High Street at all times. After 5.30pm free parking in the High Street is available to all drivers.
Central Fareham can be accessed from junction 11 of the M27 motorway and is a 7 minute drive from that junction
